Hatchet 3 (2013) is the third film of horror of the Hatchet Series. It chronicles Victor Crowley's continuing adventures and his rampage through Louisiana's Honey Island Swamp. Kane Hodder plays Victor Crowley, Brian Quinn portrays Deputy Winslow, Rileah vanderbilt portrays Misty.



The strength of the movie lies in its practical special effects. Hatchet 3 is a modern horror film that heavily relies on CG effects. Hatchet 3 focuses mainly on practical makeup effects and sets. The result is terrifying scenes.

The cast gives a solid performance with Kane Hodder being the most terrifying villain. The dialogue is hilarious and clever enough to make it seem like a slasher movie from the 80s. There are also some really funny moments that provide a sense of some humor in the midst of the terrifying action.

Due to the budget being one million dollars, the majority of locations were reused from earlier films. The house on the lake used twice in the film was one instance. Overall, Hatchet 3 was very enjoyable. I found it to be very like other films in the series. However, Hatchet 3 provided lots of gory thrills and entertaining performances from its actors.
